Why Cathedral?

An Opportunity to be Challenged

Young men grow best when they are challenged.  At Cathedral we affirm our young men by laying a firm foundation for their future.  Through a rigorous college preparatory curriculum students are asked to rise to a standard that will help them grow and prepare them to be successful in the future.

Affirming Authentic Manhood

Civilizations thrive when men embrace their role as compassionate leaders.  Cathedral is a unique environment where young men have the freedom to express themselves in a male only student body.  This is a rich opportunity to teach young men what authentic manhood looks like and challenge them to live it.  Our students are taught to value hard work, delay gratification, respect authority, honor and protect women, and explore their gifts through service to others.

Community Based Learning

Cathedral is not so big that each student is just a number and not so small that each student is denied the opportunity to learn and compete at the highest level.  There is a unique bond formed among Cathedral students, not just within a class but within the entire school community.  This bond is a lasting one that will serve these men for their entire lives.

Cathedral also offers the opportunity for young men to explore and develop their gifts through a variety of dynamic extracurricular and athletic activities. These opportunities are accessible to all students and are an excellent extension of the classroom.  Our students have the opportunity not only to educate their minds but their spirit and body as well.

Faith Seeking Understand

As a Catholic and Lasallian high school faith is integrated in all facets of our curriculum.  We seek to continue the spiritual formation that our students have received from their families and primary schools.  Cathedral also welcomes students of all faith backgrounds to join us as we grow in our understanding of a Christian worldview.  We believe that the study of worldly knowledge is amplified when students are allowed to consider how elements of faith relate to it.  Cathedral exists to raise up a generation of men who live as signs of faith.

A Great Decision

Considering Cathedral is an opportunity to make a great decision.  Cathedral is four formative years of being challenged to grow intellectually, spiritually, and physically.  We invite young men to join us in this journey and we delight to see them walk out as honorable men.  Cathedral is not just a four year investment in a high school education, it is a spring board that launches men into our world as distinguished leaders, who put their talents to work in service towards their neighbor, for the betterment of their communities.
